How important do those 10 Southers feel that reporting suspected "party houses" to alert the police to noisy residences really is?

I know we all get a little glee from getting a good night's sleep all the while crushing some coed's ability to party, but is the cold hand of the law really the best way to resolve this problem?

Wouldn't the Fan and similar neighborhoods (AKA, a mix of college and families) benefit more from an educational campaign about noise ordinances and neighborhood friendly exchanges about the noise?  For example renters receiving some suggestions about speaking with their neighbors prior to a party, exchanging contact information so the first call can be to residents rather than the Po ?

Just a thought.
