Suspected Murder?

WTVR has new details this evening on the death investigation on Kensington Ave.

A Richmond Police affidavit for search warrant was issused in the death of 20-year-old Jessica Lynn Pascual. According to the language used, it appears police believe she may have been murdered.

The affidavit says the warrant was issued to search, "The things or persons or any evidence related to the murder of Jessica Lynn Pascual."

The search was conducted in her apartment building on Kensington Avenue in Richmond's Museum district.

Police searched for DNA evidence. They found marijuana, drug baggies, and drug paraphernalia.

...

Police say 20-year-old had a number of tire tracks covering her body. There was also a cell phone under her leg, the warrant says and blood smears on the apartment building.

WTVR 6 has more coverage of this tragic death.

Who Killed Her?

Any new information on this tragedy? It sounds to me like she was killed on purpose. Even if it was a hit and run, tire tracks all over her body? Who does that? Poor sweet girl.

warrantlanguage is standard, not necessarily a murder

all warrants in the case of a suspicious death use the exact same language, it is "murder" until proven otherwise by detectives and ME's office let's not go nutty making up stuff until the ME's report comes back

Thanks for the Clarification

With the limited amount of information released we chose to republish WTVR's more thorough coverage of this tragedy. Their reporting does indicate suspected foul play however your clarification calls into question their assumption.

The "Us" I referred to in

The "Us" I referred to in "let's not go nutty assuming foul play" was directed at the newspaper, not at 10-SB. Sorry I was not clearer. I think WTVR, or whomever the source, were grasping at straws to get something out there, but as many warrants as they have seen, you would have thought they would have made that observation long ago...they all read the same. With tire tracks on her body, I too would assume something was amiss, at the least a hit and run if not an intentional vehicular assalt( is that what it is called when you run over someone on purpose?) I hope they are able to get it cleared up and poor girl's family can begin to heal.
